Visitors to Autumn Fair next month will have the opportunity to hear retail consultant, broadcaster and author Mary Portas speak at 2pm on Monday September 2.
Mary will be sharing her insights into where the high street is thriving, and will also be explaining how retailers can save their stores through the relationships they build with their customers.
Adding to the occasion, attendees will have the chance to receive one of 50 signed copies of Mary’s new book, Work Like A Woman: A Manifesto Of Change.
Mary Portas’ outstanding retail career began at Harrods where she was responsible for window displays. She subsequently moved to Top Shop and Harvey Nichols, becoming a member of the store’s main board before she was 30.
She has become a familiar face on TV, following her BBC 2 series Mary Queen of Shops which first aired in 2005.
In 2009, she opened her first Living & Giving charity shop in support of Save The Children, with outlets currently totalling 16.
Two years later, she was commissioned by David Cameron’s government to lead a review into the future of Britain’s high streets which led to the publication of the Portas Review.
