Words ‘n’ Wishes Launches A Thank You Rewards Scheme For Indies

Words ‘n’ Wishes held its 8th Annual National Conference at the spectacular new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium adopting the club’s motto, To Dare Is To Do, as the theme for the day.

As a former professional footballer and football manager himself, Rod Brown, joint md and co-owner of Words ‘n’ Wishes knows a thing or two about adopting the right tactics, maintaining a strong team spirit, putting in the ground work and pleasing the fanbase.

When put on the spot for his sports report, Rod told PG Buzz: “Over the course of any ‘season’ there are constant ups and downs, you need to be solid at the basics with the ability for a bit of flair to master the challenges and see you over the winning line.”

Words ‘n’ Wishes’ 29-person strong sales team all attended the Conference which involved discussion on the successes and challenges of the past year, plans for a fruitful coming 12 months, the unveiling of a raft of new products, crowning of key sales peope as well as the launch a Thank You Rewards Scheme for retailers.

“We all understand and appreciate how difficult the retail landscape currently is and I am pleased to say that, despite a challenging climate, we have had a very positive year,” said Rod Brown, joint md of Words ‘n’ Wishes. “As a business we’re very much focused on the needs of the independent retailer; great quality product at the right price point, an enhanced distribution offer, having the right people on board and the provision of excellent customer service, all of which have played an important role in our growth this year”

Commenting on the launch of its Thank You Rewards Scheme, Rod explained that this annual promotion is a way of “giving something back to our loyal customers, a token of our appreciation for their continued support. Customers can choose between luxury food and drink hampers or high street gift cards ~ which are a welcome addition during the build up to the festive season.”

Taking place exactly a year after Words ‘n’ Wishes took on the distribution of Danilo products for the independent sector, the Conference also provided an opportunity for Danilo’s md, Daniel Prince to thank the Words ‘n’ Wishes team for all their hard work over the last 12 months.

As Daniel commented: “We are absolutely delighted with the performance of the Words ‘n’ Wishes team. We have, together, worked hard to develop the ‘number 1’ licensed card offering to the UK independent sector and are looking forward to continuing this growth in 2020”

The event saw the unveiling of over 140 new everyday designs, including new ranges from Danilo and Quitting Hollywood (which Words ‘n’ Wishes also distributes into the independent channel).

The day saw a number of the agents being rewarded for their hard work and effort. Neil Pearson won Development Agent of the Year, Tony Hart was presented with the award for Highest Spring and Highest Christmas Sales, while Scott Gibson received the coveted Salesperson of the Year accolade.

But it wasn’t all hard work as the team enjoyed a tour of the new stadium, which included a surprise, on-pitch appearance from some Spurs players.

Summing up, Rod said: “We’re excited for the coming 12 months. We know there’ll be challenges but I truly believe that through the continued provision of first-class salesmanship we will continue to go from strength to strength”
