Window wonderland

Retailers’ creativity is a Christmas wonder to behold

It’s a wonderful time of year and there’s plenty of wonder in the creative window displays that greeting card retailers have come up with to show off their Christmas goodies.

Here’s a feast for the eyes as PG Buzz rounds up just some of the wonderful windows from up and down the country.

Above: Jespers has gone for something different in Harrogate, with local artist Christian Alexander Bailey taking three days to complete this dino-tastic display as customers had fun guessing what the final design would be: “Christmas is supposed to be about joy and, while dinosaurs aren’t stereotypically festive, it is entirely joyous! This was a chance to do something fun, just for the sake of it and reminds me of being a boy and the unparalleled joy of dinosaurs.”

Above: When stationery’s your thing, a pencil Christmas tree seems a great idea, and that’s just what Sarah Laker came up with at Stationery Supplies in Marple: “A friend suggested it when I was looking for a simple idea that wouldn't take long – but, of course, once that seed was planted I had to make one, and then it needed baubles, and presents, and before I knew it many hours of creating had passed!”
