What’s Been Hot In Expressions, Cats Whiskers And Polka Dot?

Chris and Tracey Bryant, the husband and wife duo that own Expressions (in Swindon), Cats Whiskers (in Bishops Cleeve) And Polka Dot (in Keynsham) are absolutely delighted by the “very positive” start to be back trading again physically in all three shops since Monday (see more on the ‘top story’ on today’s PG Buzz), with their sales and customer comments “exceeding expectations”.

However, the couple wasted no time during lockdown in revving up their online presence with great results.

Here they share some of the ranges and products that have been selling well online over the last few months…

Humorous Cards

Art Cards

The Eco-friendly Card Co (Glebe Cottage)

“The single cards and the packs of notecards have both sold well. Lovely designs – and eco-friendly to boot!”

Contemporary Cards

Emma Bridgewater from Woodmansterne Publications and Rosanna Rossi

“Rosanna Rossi’s designs just ooze quality while Emma Bridgewater has a strong following as a brand.”

Thinking of You Sends

Seed Cards from Cath Tate Cards and Earring cards from Crumble & Core

“The Seed Cards have done well probably as the popularity of gardening has grown during lockdown. The Crumble & Core range does well as people love the idea of getting a card and gift in one with its earring cards.”

Children’s Cards

Woodmansterne Publications and The Art File

“We are in the process of broadening our children’s cards on the website, but these two publishers’ designs have done well.”

Gifts

The Somerset Toiletry Company’s Naturally European range (Verbena especially); Michel Design Works’ Foaming Hand Soap (Lemon especially) and Powder Designs’ hairbands

“Hand creams from all ranges have sold well while the hairbands have been popular we assume as there is a lot of unruly hair out there!”
