Deadline extended for meet and greet fashion – and remember to register for show
Two months today – Tuesday, June 6 – will see the doors open on Progressive Greetings Live 2023, all set to be a wonderful two-day global gathering of the greeting card community at London’s Business Design Centre.
Turning cards into wearable art is theatrical costumier Sharon Harvey’s very important job for PG Live and she’s drawing on the greeting card delights from PG Live’s 200 exhibitors to ensure the meeters and greeters are suitably dressed for success at the show.

As buyers are already queueing up to get themselves registered to attend this year’s show at which runs over Tuesday and Wednesday, 6-7 June, PG supremo Jakki Brown wants to make sure they get the full PG Live experience including the fabulous card dresses.
Many publishers have already submitted cards and wrap to ensure all visitors to the show at London’s Business Design Centre know they’ve arrived at a fantastic greeting card exhibition but, to make sure everyone gets the chance to take part, the deadline has been extended by a week to Tuesday, 11 April.
“We have once again commissioned the amazingly talented Sharon to create these wearable concoctions, but she needs card samples and sheets/rolls of giftwrap to work from – which is where our talented exhibitors come in!” Jakki explained.
“Our plan is to create the dresses under different themes and colours. Obviously, there are hardly any card designs or wrap designs that are single coloured but, if we amass a collection where the continuum is on the same colour spectrum, the dresses look very effective – a celebration of greeting cards!”
The four themes for this year’s show outfits will be:
Summer Brights – go shocking and bold with neons or off-the-scale bright orange, fuchsia and lime.
Green Seen & Blue-n Away – the sky’s the limit with the different shades of blue out there while the grass could not be greener on the other side. Just send us your blue and green-themed cards please.
Animal Magic – everyone loves Sir David Attenborough, and we’re sure he’d love the incredible menagerie of animals, crustaceans, insects and birds that inhabit the greeting card racks. Round ’em up and send ’em in!
Diversity & Inclusion – greeting cards are for everyone, irrespective of colour, creed or sexual preference. If you have any cards that celebrate D&I make sure you include them.

If you are a PG Live exhibitor, you can offer up your cards for the 2023 fashion parade at PG Live by packaging them up in the themes and sending them to Jakki Brown, Cards For Dresses, Max Publishing, United House, North Road, London, N7 9DP, to arrive by Tuesday, 11 April.
And to make sure that you’re around to see the wonderful dresses being worn at the event billed as “the greatest greeting card show in the world”, do register for your free ticket by clicking here.
Many retail buyers, international distributors and licensees are already signed up but there’s room for plenty more to attend the UK’s only trade exhibition dedicated to the vibrant, buzzy and something a bit different greeting card industry.

If you want to check out who’s exhibiting click here, – suffice to say it’s a veritable who’s who of the greetings industry with over 190 names on the list already!
And if you’re a company whose name is not yet on that list so are suffering from FOMO, there are a few stands still available. Contact Tracey Arnaud on traceya@max-publishing.co.uk.
With the free lunch on both days of the show, complimentary teas and coffees, great opening night party, and all that delicious greeting card newness to look forward to, especially in and around Springboard and Springboard Intro which are both sponsored by The Imaging Centre, you know it makes sense to get yourself registered to attend PG Live 2023 on 6-7 June – it’s an absolute fixture on the greeting card calendar.
