The people choose positivity

Fox Under The Moon captures hearts to win The GA’s People’s Choice Award

Greeting cards have proven their popularity for the second year running with the public voting for publisher Fox Under The Moon in The GA’s 2023 People’s Choice Award.

Announced at the Harrogate Home & Gift show this week, the brand from Stacey McNeill sees the artist and author capture hearts with her books, cards and gifts designed to encourage positivity and self-love through words and pictures.

“We won!” enthused Stacey – who can be seen below in her video after collecting the award on Sunday, 16 July. “A huge thank you to all of you that voted for us – I couldn’t be happier! This journey is a whirlwind, and it’s wonderful having you here with me through it.

“I’m thrilled and humbled, it is truly an honour to see the positive impact Fox Under The Moon has had on people’s lives. I hope the messages of self-love and encouragement continue to bring comfort to individuals and inspire them to navigate life’s challenges with hope and resilience.

“I didn’t expect to win, but winning is absolutely amazing! I think mental health is so important, and I’m delighted to be able to promote positivity and love in a difficult climate.”

More than 8,000 votes were cast for the third annual People’s Choice award with consumers choosing their favourite from all products shortlisted in the 2023 Gift Of The Year Awards, run by the Giftware Association – Fox Under The Moon’s products were highly commended in the Under £15 category with the two picture books for all ages, Fox Under The Moon and To The Moon & Back, alongside its affirmation greeting cards and gifts.

The collection delivers inspiring messages of self-love and promotes positive mental health through thoughtful words and gentle illustrations.

After presenting the award at the Sunday Sundowners event at Home & Gift, organised by Clarion Events, The GA’s ceo Sarah Ward said: “The brand has gone from strength to strength since they started during lockdown and continue to promote the importance of positive mental health.

“Receiving The People’s Choice award reflects the overwhelming adoration and support Fox Under The Moon has garnered from its audience. The collection’s universal appeal has resonated with readers, transcending age barriers and fostering a sense of positivity and self-love in their lives.”

Stacey, who runs the business with husband Jamie, is the creative force and draws inspiration from the beauty of the natural world, capturing the essence of wildlife, woodlands, and magical night skies in her artwork.

Her creations touch the simplicity of everyday life while navigating the complexities of human emotions by sharing little conversations between Fox, Moon, and their friends, to bring encouragement and comfort to readers and card recipients.

Congratulations also came from the GCA to member Fox Under The Moon, from marketing and membership coordinator Adriana Lovesy – and the win follows last year’s People’s Choice success for fellow GCA member Cardology’s Battersea Pop-Up Cards which beat 284 other products, collecting 500 of the 7,000 votes cast.
