Big launch sniffs out expert’s approval with publisher getting on board as National Stationery Week sponsor
An expert’s opinion is definitely not to be sniffed at when bringing out a new product – and that’s just what The Art File did with its latest stationery collection, as the launch coincides with the publisher getting on board as a National Stationery Week sponsor.
Upping its commitment to stationery, The Art File went to NSW ambassador, retailer, and self-confessed notebook geek Sarah Laker to make sure the company’s plans for its latest products met her exacting requirements.
“I was delighted to be consulted by The Art File’s md Ged Mace over what features my ideal notebook would contain and what would make me go ‘wow’ when I picked it up off the shelf,” Stationery Supplies owner Sarah revealed, “and I was honoured to receive one!”
Showing herself unwrapping her very own version – seen in the video below – she added: “I told them all my favourite features in a notebook, this has got them all and is the most beautiful notebook which did not disappoint – I can’t wait to start using it!”
Enthusing over the rounded corners, a hard cover, elastic closure, flap for storage, elastic pen loop, two ribbon markers, thick lined paper and great artistic details along with a gorgeous smell, Sarah was absolutely delighted with the product she’d helped design – which can be seen on The Art File’s stand at Spring Fair (3P11) when the four-day show kicks off on Sunday, 4 February, at Birmingham’s NEC.
And The Art File’s major stationery launch has been reinforced by the company getting on board for the first time as a National Stationery Week countdown week sponsor alongside Exaclair and Sinclairs, with Maped Helix, Pentel, Staedtler, and Zebra Pen as the headline sponsors, and Sinclairs also fronting the #Shelfie Competition.
The Art File’s sales and marketing manager James Mace commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be sponsoring the National Stationery Week campaign this year. We feel it’s incredibly important to help in spreading the importance of the written word on greeting cards, of course, and equally as importantly on stationery as well, so it’s great to be involved.”
National Stationery Week runs over Monday to Sunday, 13-19 May, this year, and encompasses the London Stationery Show on the Tuesday and Wednesday, 14-15 May, at the Business Design Centre in Islington.
For the second year running the indomitable Sarah, who runs her two stores in Marple and Wilmslow, is heading up the NSW campaign, working closely with the Max Publishing team, which acquired London Stationery Show and National Stationery Week at the end of 2023, as well as event manager Chantelle White and founder Chris Leonard-Morgan, who is fully on board as a special advisor.
There are three NSW social media hashtags – #NatStatWeek #WritingMatters #LoveStationery – which will be employed on Facebook and Instagram.
Sarah would love to hear from retailers or companies who would like to join in the event. Please email her at sarah@marplestationerysupplies.co.uk.
