Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Funky Pigeon, Moonpig, Argos, Very, Clintons and Signature Gifts all feature in a 12 Days Of Tatty Christmas Countdown campaign instigated by Carte Blanche Group to promote the brand and support retail stockists of its cards, gifts and licensed products.
The Christmas Countdown campaign involves competitions, giveaways in store activations, live Tatty Teddy appearances and social media activity to chime with consumer fans of the brand.,
Underpinning all this activity is a specially created animation, entitled ‘Life Revolving’ centres on the key moments in a lifetime that matter with Tatty Teddy always there for these special occasions. Watching through the eyes of a little girl as she grows up, this heartfelt film, created by Fudge Animation Studios in Photo Real CGI follows her journey from birth to adulthood, with Tatty Teddy by her side. The sentiment at the end of the animation ties this together – ‘Thank you for always being there. Merry Christmas from Me to You’.
The animation also fanfares a new brand strapline to mark the brand’s silver jubilee – ‘Sharing 25 years of the Moments that Matter’.
Carte Blanche is also running a competition, which closes on 19 December where entrants are asked to watch the video and answer a question about the animation for a chance to win a bundle of Me To You goodies.
Grace Elphinstone, Carte Blanche’s marketing manager, commented: “Christmas and the festive period is the perfect time to bring together friends and family and we wanted to celebrate this and all of the other moments in a lifetime that help form these special connections. For 25 years, Me to You has held a very special place in the hearts of consumers who see the brand as the ‘go to’ to share the moments that matter with family and friends.”
In addition to the 110,000+ views that the new animation has received, Tatty has also been spreading the love in other ways.
Tatty not only appears on an official stamp in the Isle of Man’s Christmas stamp issue, but a special first day cover collectors edition where collectors can buy a First Day cover with a commemorative Tatty Teddy cancelling hand stamp on a Tatty Teddy designed envelope and a limited edition piece of artwork created specifically for this by Steve Mort-Hill. The sketch shows Tatty Teddy waving a flag for the Isle of Man TT race.
As part of the stamps’ launch activity Tatty was more than happy to pay a visit to children in hospital in the Isle of Man.
