Stuart Goldsmith To Host The Calies Awards 2019

Really making Tuesday November 19 a date to mark on the calendar, international award-winning comedian, writer and podcaster Stuart Goldsmith has been confirmed as the compere for The Calies calendar and diary awards.

In addition to his stand-up credentials, recent years have seen Stuart build a reputation as a highly skilled interviewer and engaging host. His insightful and inspiring The Comedian’s Comedian podcast shines a light on the darkest creative secrets of his fellow comics, and is much beloved by comedy fans, performers and industry alike. Previous guests include Jimmy Carr, Tim Minchin, Russell Howard, Sarah Millican, Al Murray, Ross Noble, Tim Vine and David O’Doherty.

Stuart’s reputation and following transcends UK shores. As well as having performed at multiple critically acclaimed sell-out shows at Edinburgh Fringe Festival he has appeared at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the New Zealand International Comedy Festival and Montreal’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.

Stuart is looking forward to celebrating with retailers, publishers, trade suppliers and licensors as well as revealing the winners of the 2019 Calies Awards at an event that takes place on Tuesday 19 November at the historic Stationers’ Hall, next to St Paul’s Cathedral in London.

Tickets for The Calies awards event (which takes place 5.15pm-7.45pm) cost £60 + VAT each. This includes drinks reception and canapés, talks and award ceremony, with networking continuing post-awards (paid bar available).
