Still time to enter The Licensing Awards 2024

Deadline extended to 6 June with special product category for greetings and stationery

There’s still time to enter The Licensing Awards 2024 as an extra week has been allowed with the deadline now moved to Thursday, 6 June.

With a special product category aimed at the greeting card and stationery sector, the growth of licensing deals means many publishers are well placed for these awards, which are completely free to enter via the website.

The deadline extension came about after several request from companies for more time following last week’s Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, and the awards, which are owned and organised by Max Publishing, cover licensed product launches, licensing activity and licensed retailing execution taking place between 1 June 2023, and 31 May 2024.

Entry and judging of all the product categories will again be done online by key retailers from across the UK market – last year more than 200 retailers were keen judges, and the process is quick and easy and means there is no need to send any physical samples of products.

The Best Licensed Paper Products or Stationery Range is keenly contested by many greeting card publishers, with Cardology taking the trophy last year for its Peter Rabbit Pop-Up Card range, in 2022 Tache’s Unilever Famous Foods greeting cards won, and the previous year the award went to Danilo’s Peaky Blinders calendar, diary, greeting cards and gift bag collection.

Other categories include the Best Licensed Giftware, Home Décor, Tableware or Housewares Range, the Sustainability Award recognises and rewards the credentials of a licensed product/range, and the Innovation Award is for outstanding innovation in design, manufacture and/or inspiring treatment/use of a licensed property.

The Licensing Awards 2024 have the strong backing of major names in the industry as official sponsors with Brand Licensing Europe as the headline sponsor while Licensing International is an official supporter with its UK Rising Star award also presented at the event.

The awards event itself will return to The Great Room at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday, 10 September, 2024, so mark the date in your diaries.
