Petite sub-brand launch for Lucilla Lavender with lower price points
Five new ranges are on their way from Lucilla Lavender Ltd as the publisher launches its Petite sub-brand of smaller cards to live up to the name.
The new brand is the first such move since the business was founded 15 years ago by Lucilla Lavender herself and business partner Anneke Driscoll, and the colourful contemporary designs have a lower price point to help with the current cost-of-living crisis.
it’s a wonderful selection of smaller-sized greeting card ranges,” Anneke told PG Buzz. “The creation of this sub-brand allows ease of recognition for retailers who are looking for smaller designs for their shelves, together with lower price points for their customers.”
The mix of simple, fresh illustrations, fun hand lettering along with characters to make people smile will be launched at PG Live in June.
There are eight designs in each of the initial five ranges – Paperclips, Tableau, Little Lines, Serafina and Patchy – each birthday and blank card finished with embossing, and all are 108x152mm, smaller than Lucilla Lavender’s traditional formats.
Lucilla added: “It has been a real pleasure to design and art direct these initial five new Petite ranges. Smaller formats create new opportunities and challenges for a designer – stimulating even greater clarity of ideas and messages.
“These ranges are the perfect complement to our standard format designs and offer retailers a truly comprehensive portfolio of greeting cards.”
Lucilla Lavender will be debuting the Petite sub-brand at PG Live on Stand 305. To check it out along with the other 200 exhibitors at the UK’s only dedicated greeting card trade show, which takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday, 6-7 June, at London’s Business Design Centre, you can register to attend here.
