Setting up for 2025 festivities

Growing Harrogate Christmas & Gift Fair celebrates 75th anniversary

As the annual golden quarter is upon retailers in the greeting card industry, many are already planning for next year, with the Harrogate Christmas & Gift Fair coming up fast – and set to celebrate its 75th anniversary.

The show is at Harrogate Convention Centre over Sunday to Wednesday, 12-15 January, and expected to be bigger than ever as greetings, giftwrap, cracker and stationery exhibitors join the throng of festive and seasonal decorations, gifts, and trees – so many trees of all shapes and sizes!

The exhibitor list already includes many familiar to the greeting industry such as Arthur Cameron, Eurowrap, Fair To Trade, Gisela Graham, The Great British Card Company, Holly And Ivy, Jacksons CRS, Joe Davies, Lesser & Pavey, Ling Design, Mulberry Studios, Namaste UK, Out Of The Blue Studios, Partisan Products, Penny Kennedy, RSW International, Tallon International and Widdop And Co.

Show organiser Simon Anslow confirms demand for exhibition space is growing year-on-year, extending to eight halls for the 2025 anniversary event, packed with cards, gifts and decorations for Christmas, plus numerous ranges for year-round gifting.

“We have been in the fortunate position of having a waiting list of companies wishing to participate and have consequently just opened an additional hall – Hall G,” Simon said.

“Christmas is a much more lavish affair these days, with new American and European traditions added to the UK’s own and, consequently, a huge new melting pot of sales opportunities from elves on shelves, Christmas Eve boxes and pet grottos, the festive season spreads from September to January bringing months of joy and happiness to British consumers and, of course, to retailers in the industry.”
