Russell Kirby Returns To The Aspin Team After 24 Years!

Not only is Aspin a very well-known company in the greeting card industry, supplying many publishers with bespoke software programmes, but its latest ‘new recruit’ to the team is a very familiar face to many, including the Aspin crew.

Having left Romsey-based Aspin Management Systems in the early 1990s, at a time when the company was trailblazing systems for greeting card publishers to use to keep track of their stock and orders, Russell Kirby (pictured above) is now back in the fold.

“Having spent almost 30 years in the gift, card, home and allied products sector (as man and boy obviously), I am delighted to be re-joining Aspin,” says Russell. “It goes without saying that I’ve continued to follow the company as they’ve gone from strength to strength over the last three decades. With their superb set of products and stable team behind them – I’m really looking forward to being part of the company – working with everybody to help increase that growth. I just hope I get to meet them all in person soon!”

The last three decades has seen Russell’s enviable career portfolio, seen him delve deep into software requirements for the card trade that has facilitated the efficiencies we now take for granted.

“Bringing his industry kudos and business relationships to Aspin, along with a box of doughnuts for the sales team, should set him in great stead for a successful position at Aspin,” quipped Nathan Aspin, managing director of the company that is known for, among other aspects, its PixSell iPad and iPhone apps for sales reps, its InterSell B2B eCommerce trade ordering websites and SkooCloud PIM and DAM Cloud-based facilities for storing and sharing data and image assets.

As Russell officially rejoined Aspin on October, which was National Poetry Day, the company marked the return of the prodigal son with a poem!
