“David is keen to hear members’ concerns as well as to share Royal Mail’s plans for the future, including Christmas 2024,” GCA ceo Amanda Fergusson told PG Buzz.

“We look forward to welcoming David to our conference, and appreciate his willingness to hear directly from members and share Royal Mail’s plans – especially ahead of the crucial run-up to Christmas.”

The announcement came at a crucial time as Royal Mail’s parent company International Distribution Services is seriously considering accepting the revised £3.5billion takeover offer from Czech billionaire Daniel Křetínský’s EP Group, which has promised to invest and support the UK’s 508-year-old postal service.
