Richard Hall has returned to The Sherwood Group as the new sales and marketing director at the specialist greeting card manufacturer.

Offering print and manufacturing services, Richard was previously national account manager for three years to 2015 and said: “I’m delighted to be returning to The Sherwood Group, a company that I hold in high regard for its dedication to excellence and commitment to serving its clients.

“There are some opportunities that feel right, and you just don’t question your instinct. It doesn’t happen often, but after talking to Sherwood’s directors, it did.”

The Nottingham-based company said that in his previous tenure, Richard “demonstrated exceptional leadership and played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s client base and market reach”.

Over the past eight years, he embarked on a journey of professional growth, taking on various roles within the packaging and printing industry. His experience spanned technical sales, European key account management, and involvement with some of the world’s most recognised global brands.

Richard added: “I look forward to promoting the development of the company’s brands, both in the UK and China, and the opportunity to work in a long-term development plan with a business I respect and trust is even more appealing.”

Richard Bacon, md of The Sherwood Group, added: “I’m delighted Richard has re-joined the company after eight years. I vividly remember our first meeting back in 2013, and it was evident then that Richard possessed exceptional skills and a genuine passion for the industry.

“His vast amount of experience, personal approach, and strong work ethics align perfectly with The Sherwood Group’s values and I have no doubt his new role as sales and marketing director will be a great success, both for him and for the company.

“I wish him all the best in his new senior management position, and I am confident that his contributions will play a significant role in our continued success.”
