Raspberry Blossom and Cath Kidston join PK roster

Two additional licensing collaborations grow Penny Kennedy 2024 launch

Penny Kennedy has added two new licences to its stable of giftwrappings with iconic British brand Cath Kidston and colourful greeting card publisher Raspberry Blossom.

Both ranges are available to order now and the full Cath Kidston range, which was showcased at PG Live earlier this month, had “an amazing reception”, David Byk, ceo of parent company Swan Mill, told PG Buzz.

“It’s our most exciting offer to date from a specialist in this category,” he added. “We started working with Cath Kidston at the end of last year and we’re so pleased with this new collaboration.”

Penny Kennedy’s sister publisher Great British Card Company has also clinched the licence for Cath Kidston stationery.

Adding a fresh ripple to PK’s giftwrappings offer is the collaboration with Raspberry Blossom, which packed a punch at PG Live, not just on its own stand but also on the Widdop & Co stand opposite which was showcasing the brand-new homeware and gift range.

Delighted by the tie-up with Penny Kennedy, David commented: “The licensing partnership with Raspberry Blossom is also giving us a new bright and vibrant look that we’ve been missing for a younger market from a company that’s taking the card industry by storm.”

Both collections include gift bags, gift tags, printed tissue, roll wrap, and nests of gift boxes, and the Cath Kidston range features its Archive Rose and Ditsy Hearts designs portraying the handicraft and vintage themes that help the brand embody a quintessentially British lifestyle.

Canvas Creations and Happiness are the two fun and colourful designs in the PK Raspberry Blossom debut launch which co-owners Rebecca and Mark Green say were “inspired by the things we love and our loved ones”.

The Raspberry Blossom and Cath Kidston collections will both be available to order from August for December delivery.

David said: “As well as these exciting brand-new licences, we have the biggest release from multi-licensing award winner Sara Miller London, including a new Flamingo range which she’s well known for, plus new Morris & Co ranges, Toasted Crumpet and some very exciting in-house collections.

“We have more new than we have ever done with a complete refresh of the offer. I’m happy to go on record to say this is our best spring launch to date, plus it will be in stock with us in December ready for the all-important retailer requirement when Christmas is over.”
