Anyone who shops at any of the four Postmark shops (in Balham, East Dulwich, Greenwich and Turnham Green) on Monday will be given a specially created scratchcard, with a prize on every single one.
Postmark co-owners Mark and Leona Janson-Smith were inspired by their own family tradition of giving ‘scatchies’ to each other for their birthdays as being a fun way of marking the business’ milestone event.
“We’ve put together loads of fab prizes – all kindly donated by lots of our very generous suppliers,” Leona told PG Buzz, revealing that the prizes include £15 card bundles, Jellycat toys, Think of Me goodie bags and Leuchtturm notebooks.
The excitement is already building with posters in all the Postmark shop windows and posts on the retailer’s social media feeds about its Birthday Scratchcard Giveaway.
“This is a momentous milestone and none of it would have been possible without our amazing suppliers and customers, past and present – so a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years,” said Mark. “When I opened Postmark I had no idea how the business would do, so it’s really rewarding to look back and enjoy what we’ve managed to achieve in the last 15 years. Monday will be all about celebrating the first 15 years of Postmark and giving a little something back to our customers as we look ahead to the next 15.”
On the actual birthday (Monday 11 November) Mark is planning to base himself in the Balham store “where it all started. I am hoping to catch a view of our original customers on the actual day so I can say a personal thanks to them.”
