Pictura, one of the largest global greeting card companies has just launched Cardmore, a UK subsidiary which will operate totally independently from a base in North Yorkshire.

Stuart is no stranger to the Pictura brand as until March of this year he was involved with Jean Barrington, which distributes some of the company’s non-card products.

This is however, the first time for many years that Pictura will have a designated greeting card presence in the UK.

Pictura is a leading greeting card group, comprising many companies across Europe, the largest of which is in its homeland of Sweden. In addition it also has a subsidiary in the US.

“I have known and worked with Urban for over ten years and Charlie for five years. I’m very excited to have been given the opportunity of working with these guys more closely and with the Pictura brand,” commented Stuart.

Cardmore, which started trading at the start of this month (July) debuts with 100 greeting card designs across five ranges covering photographic, humour, floral, occasions, humour and fun.

“Pictura has an impeccable record in producing high quality products that are appropriate for the market at which they are aimed,” says Stuart. “We have a programme to launch new ranges every three months providing the agents and retailers with a constant stream of something new and fresh.”

Cardmore will be based in Whitby and its products will be sold via a team of agents.
