PG Live 2019 Is Open For Business

A great cheer went out from the 50+ leading multiple and independent retailers who joined with greeting card distributors from all over the world to share the collective responsibility of officially opening Progressive Greetings Live 2019 this morning (June 4). The exhibition, the world’s largest dedicated greeting card show, is taking place at London’s Business Design Centre today and tomorrow (Wednesday 5 June).

“We’re playing a real trump card with PG Live this year,” said Jacqui Parr, marketing manager of PG Live, alluding to the state visit of US President Donald Trump to London, which has coincided with the show. “PG Live is a true celebration of the global greeting card community – bringing together retailers and publishers of all shapes and sizes, from all over the UK and the world.”

The festivities kicked off yesterday evening with a buzzy Overseas Visitors Welcome Party, with attendees hailing from far and wide, including Russia, Australia, Japan, South Africa, Poland, Finland, USA, Germany and Eire.

“Of course it is worth flying from the other side of the world to be here – it’s the greatest greeting card show on earth, no question,” said John Simson, co-owner of Melbourne-based Simson Cards who together with his wife Bindi are among the Antipodeans to have flown in for Progressive Greetings Live.

There are some 230+ companies exhibiting at PG Live (which is on today and tomorrow) at London’s Business Design Centre).

PG Live is open today until 6pm, and all those attending and exhibiting are invited to the Opening Night Party at the venue immediately afterwards. Tomorrow the show opens at 9.30 and will close at 4.30pm.
