Help BLE celebrate 25 years – as Larkshead Licensing takes on Nicole Elders
It’s time to party like it’s 1999 as Brand Licensing Europe invites everyone who attends the show to join in the 25th birthday celebrations.
Plans for the event on the opening day of the show, which runs at ExCeL London over 24-26 September, include a string quartet playing modern pop songs, mind-boggling magician, sumptuous birthday cake, fizz aplenty, party props and selfie ops with Mable, the brand-new BLE mascot who debuted at this week’s Licensing Awards.
Hosted in partnership with Licensing International and sponsored by show organiser The Insights Family, the BLE party to end all parties will take place from 5pm-7pm on the Tuesday across two of the show floor bars, The BLE Birthday Bar and BLE x One Piece Bar 2024.
BLE event director Ella Haynes said: “This is a big year for BLE, and what better way to celebrate than on the show floor with the entire European licensing community around us and the people, businesses and brands who have driven – and continue to drive – this amazing, exciting, non-stop industry forward year on year.
“So, if you’re at BLE this year, please join us to raise a glass as we toast our success over the last 25 years and, more importantly, the continued success of our industry. Expect fun speeches – we promise they’ll be short! – musical performers and to be entertained as if by magic!”
As part of the trade show for licensing and brand extension, Larkshead Licensing has announced it will be launching calligrapher, greeting card and giftware artist Nicole Elders to the licensing world on its BLE stand A150.
Known for her work where she paints pictures with words using her calligraphy skills, as well as her Long Live Morse Code card collection in collaboration with the Morse Code Preservation Society, this is Nicole’s first foray into the world of licensing.
“Larkshead is delighted to be launching Nicole’s brand at BLE this year,” said MD Clare Piggott. “We see Nicole’s artwork having the potential to be applied to multiple product categories plus we look forward to expanding her brand into further strategic collaborations with heritage and conservation sites.”
The show has much to interest the greeting card fraternity with numerous brands available for licensing as well as artists and designers offering their work for products, including Molly Mae (stand AD13), Ginger Betty (AD15), Middle Mouse (AD12), Jelly Armchair (AD02), and Brilliantly Brave (This Is Iris AD06).
