Hit the hashtags for National Stationery Week and London Stationery Show
Ready, set – and it’s all go for National Stationery Week starting on Monday, with London Stationery Show taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
After a seven-week build up with fabulous competitions, giveaways, and social media action from sponsors Silvine, Lamy, Pilot Pens, Exaclair, Manuscript Brands, and The Art File, it’s the main event with seven days celebrating stationery and special hashtags for each one…
There are also three general hashtags – #NatStatWeek #WritingMatters #LoveStationery – so the NSW team can catch all social media posts about the week as well as London Stationery Show, which takes place at the Business Design Centre in Islington on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The sell-out show will see well over 100 exhibitors showcasing 300 brands, and there’s also a great roster of workshops and talks, including retailing celebrity Theo Paphitis, owner of Ryman and London Graphic Centre. To register to attend click here.
The celebrations have already begun with NSW ambassador Sarah Laker unveiling her special window at her Stationery Supplies store in Marple, while Malvern’s Austin & Co has also made a great effort, installing a classic Bisley desk and bespoke artwork from Dandelion Stationery.
And there are even more stationery prizes on offer with the Rainbows Letter Writing Competition where the deadline has been extended until the end of NSW thanks to the generosity of sponsors.
Rainbows Penpal Club, one of the UK’s last proper pen and paper penpal organisations, is running its first National Letter Writing Competition that’s open to everyone.
There are three themes with a maximum of 750 words, to be written by hand and posted to Rainbows Penpal Club, 5 Walrond Court, Ilminster TA19 0HN, with the best letter in each category – a letter to a friend about your most exciting day, renewing a friendship, and talking about a long-awaiting trip of a lifetime – winning a bundle of greeting card and stationery goodies.
Full details of the competition are available here, with the deadline now extended to Saturday, 18 May, so people can enjoy writing during National Stationery Week.
