While delighted to be back behind the counter of Savannah Gifts in the Surrey village of Windlesham, Louise Baldwin, has certainly been busy during lockdown – and not just delivering the shop’s goodies, but also as part of the NHS’ Covid-fighting frontline.
During Louise went back working full days for the NHS as a community pharmacy dispenser. “While there has been some very dark days and many tears shed, it’s also been lovely to still be able to see my patients and have the wonderful support of the community,” Louise told PG Buzz.
Now she is lapping up the positive reaction from customers.
“I feel people want to support local businesses more than ever. We are lucky as we are in a small village and have a wonderful loyal customer base. We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received and believe people want to support small businesses now more than ever and recognise how important it is to have shops like ours local to them.”
