Lara Johnson rides in as publisher’s first national accounts manager
There’s a new face on the team at The Art File as the publisher has appointed its first national accounts manager, in the shape of Lara Johnson.
Moving into greeting cards from the world of equestrian and countryside wear, Lara was a key account manager for the Ariat brand for several years but, as she told PG Buzz: “I’m delighted to be joining The Art File.
“The team here are remarkably talented and dedicated to bringing beautiful, unique collections to market. This is very apparent across the company as a whole and it’s so exciting to be part of this. The quality and variety across the product range is wonderful, offering choice and opportunity for every business. I’m really looking forward to working closely alongside and supporting our customers and hope to meet many in the coming weeks.”
The multi-award-winning family-run business is based in Nottingham and is celebrating 27 years in business since being set up by Ged and Karen Mace in a back bedroom at their home, and now runs from a three-storey building in the city’s Weekday Cross area where it has a team of creatives who work on both inhouse and licensed designs.
Sales and marketing manager James Mace said The Art File team is “hugely excited” to have welcomed Lara to the sales team and added: “As our brand and customer base continues to grow and mature, we felt it was a perfect time to bring Lara into the team to assist Ged and I in the ongoing management of some of our most key accounts, as well as becoming a key part of the sales team going forward as our product portfolio continues to expand.”
And Ged commented: “As The Art File brand continues to expand, we feel this is the perfect opportunity to introduce a dedicated national account Manager to our senior management team to support the important partnerships we have with our key national account customers and we’re thrilled to welcome Lara to the company.
“Lara brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge gained from working closely with senior buyers across many different retailers and she shares our passion and ambition for spreading The Art File joy to a wider audience.”
