Meet Uncle Ronnie!

89-year-old is Pigment’s social media star for making Christmas connections

Family is top of the pops at Christmas and it’s the older relatives who really love the connections made at this time of year, so Pigment has introduced Uncle Ronnie to the world.

He’s the 89-year-old star of the publisher’s wee video shared on social media whose day is made when he receives a festive card from his great-niece Katie Ibbotson, account manager at Pigment.

The video, which can be watched above, follows Katie picking, writing and posting her card, and shows lovely Uncle Ronnie at home alone when the letterbox rattles as the postie makes a delivery, and his delight when his great-niece follows up with a personal visit.

“We wanted to put together this short – homemade – film to highlight the importance of connection, especially at Christmas,” explained senior product manager Alicia Atkinson. “We hope it shows the genuine impact the simple act of sending a card can have.

“We’ve shared it on our social media platforms and had a really lovely response!”

And Pigment hopes everyone takes the “let a loved one know you’re thinking of them at Christmas” message to heart.
