Meanwhile, the countdown to National Stationery Week, which takes place over 12-18 May, is in full swing, and the response has been amazing.

Campaign coordinator Sarah Laker, who runs Stationery Supplies in Marple and Wilmslow, shared: “Since we kicked things off with seven weeks to go, our social media reach has shot up by 400%. Proof – if we needed it! – that people love their stationery.

“Our seven weeks to go Posca competition had over 1,000 entries, proving that creativity and passion for pens, paper and everything in between are stronger than ever.
