The UK Calendar Awards 2018, now known under their friendlier moniker of The Calies are now open for entries.
Launched last year by Max Publishing (owners of Progressive Greetings and PG Buzz), with huge support from the calendar and diary sector, The Calies are annual awards that recognise excellence in the calendar, advent calendar and diaries sector, including retail, charity and corporate (B2B) titles.
Calendar and diary producers are being invited to enter their 2019 dated titles, while advent calendars can be for those available for 2018 season. Entering The Calies is easy and free of charge. The retail entries will be judged by a panel of knowledgeable retail buyers while the corporate (B2B) categories go under the scrutiny of industry and design experts.
The Calies 2018 look set to build on the success of last year’s inaugural awards, with the winners announced to be announced at a late afternoon/early evening taking place at Stationers’ Hall, in the City of London, on Wednesday 28 November.
“The calendar and diaries sector has been close to our hearts for many, many years through Progressive Greetings and Progressive Calendars. We were delighted to be given the opportunity and support from calendar publishers large to enable us to launch The Calies last year and celebrate this important product sector even more with this year’s awards,” commented Warren Lomax, joint managing director of Max Publishing.
The deadline for entering is Monday 1 October.
