Lee Hartley joins Paperlink as business development manager

Publisher welcomes experienced player to head up indie development

Well-known industry stalwart Lee Hartley has joined Paperlink, taking up a newly-created role of business development manager and heading up independent sales.

Lee has worked in the greeting card industry for the past 25 years, initially working for Medici until it was sold to Paper House in 2008 when he went on to join Noel Tatt for whom he worked until the start of March.

“I’d reached a big birthday and felt it was time for a change,” Lee told PG Buzz. “I resigned from Noel Tatt, and we parted very amicably. I had no job to go to, but felt something would crop up, and it did when I was invited to go in for a chat with Paperlink’s founder Louise Tighe and Emma Young, the publisher’s managing director, which led to them offering me a job, which I was delighted to accept.”

While Sandy Deasey is looking after Paperlink’s national accounts, Lee is now heading up the publisher’s sales development opportunities in the independent retailer channel.

“We’re all very excited by having Lee as part of our team and he’s already shared with us his wealth of knowledge and years of experience which will bring benefits to Paperlink,” commented Emma at the London-based publisher.

“We’re also looking forward to having Lee on our stand at PG Live next month where he will be sharing our new products with his many retailer contacts.”

Paperlink is among the 200 exhibitors at PG Live, which takes place over Tuesday and Wednesday, 6-7 June, at London’s Business Design Centre. Retailers, overseas distributors, agents and those from the licensing community are invited to register for the event and receive a free Show Preview by clicking here.
