Last day for Autumn Fair’s Connect registration

£1,000 prize draw for buyers signed up for Birmingham show by tomorrow

With retailers including Card Factory, John Lewis, Moonpig and Marks & Spencer among the thousands already registered for Autumn Fair, tomorrow is the last day to sign up to take advantage of the trade show’s new Connect offer.

And one lucky visitor will win a £1,000 golden ticket to spend at Autumn Fair in a prize draw for all registered by 5pm tomorrow, Wednesday, 9 August.

The show runs over Sunday to Wednesday, 3-6 September, at Birmingham’s NEC with an eclectic mix of new and exclusive brands in the Gift destination, which covers greeting cards, wrapping papers, stationery and paper decorations; contemporary gifts; sought-after beauty and wellbeing products; and children’s toys, gifts and gadgets, all under one roof.

All buyers registered by tomorrow can be part of the new Connect journey being offered by show organiser Hyve Group, which now includes an expansion of the 15-minute meetings to take place within a half-hour window – however, registrations will still be accepted right up to and during the show.

The Greetings & Stationery section of the show will include The Art File, Emotional Rescue, Paper Salad, The Little Dog Laughed, Five Dollar Shake, Emma Ball, Cardology, Penguin Ink, and The Seed Card Company among the exhibitors, while the GCA Debut area will showcase Hazel Bee, Fox Under the Moon, Angie’s Folk Art, Dixons Doodles and Nicole Elders, among others.

Joining the line-up for the first time is Manuscript, which distributes its own brand calligraphy and pen products across the world as well an extensive collection of pens and craft products from leading brands, as well as decorating ribbon brand Ribbonly.

Other sectors at the big autumn trade fair include Home, Living & Décor for the latest on-trend home accessories, textiles, furniture, lighting, tableware, kitchenware and outdoor living, while The Summerhouse offers beautiful hand-picked and curated style-led interiors and lifestyle products, and there’s Everyday for affordable items from domestic appliances, housewares, tabletop to pet supplies, home improvement and household cleaning products.

The new Connect programme gives access to detailed profiles of all Autumn Fair exhibitors already booked in, from their latest ranges to minimum order requirements, and Hyve’s divisional managing director Nicola Meadows told PG Buzz: “Thousands of buyers have already signed up including leading retailers such as Harvey Nichols, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Harrods, Fortnum & Mason, Blue Diamond, Hillier Garden Centres, Card Factory, Coney’s, Robert Dyas, Walt Disney Co, Holland & Barrett, Wilkies, Artistic Gift Boutique, Avon Cosmetics, Sterling Home, and Moonpig.

“In its simplest form it is a connections programme created to facilitate 15-minute introductory meetings between exhibitors and buyers who potentially don’t already know each other.

“So, if you’ve got a client that you want to meet and you know is going to come on your stand and be talking about your latest product range for an hour and a half then you don’t need to use Connect for that. What we want to do is help exhibitors find the new buyers they want to meet to grow their business.”
