Rocket68 founder signs GBCC licence and collaborates with author
Jill White, founder of Rocket68, has two new ventures booked, with a greeting card range about to be released under licence by GBCC as well as a children’s picture book to her name.
GBCC has signed a licensing agreement with the talented publisher and designer for her Bright Botanicals art designs to add to its Almanac Gallery.
Working from her Somerset studio, Jill finds inspiration in the surrounding wildlife for her digitally-painted designs, and the 12 cards being published by GBCC feature her floral compositions in a bright, bold colour palette, with an emboss finish.
Adding to her claims to fame, Jill recently joined forces with author Sarah Lavelle on the Piff In A Puffle children’s book, with Sarah providing the words and Jill creating the illustrations that tell the tale of a special puffer fish. Jill recently visited the Chicken And Frog bookshop in Somerton, where Sarah performed a reading of the book – and she aims to have a copy in every library in the country.
“I had an amazing time at the utterly fab store,” Jill told PG Buzz, “sharing our new book and talking to the children about the characters. It was really special to see it on the bookshelves.
“I’m actually planning in the future on producing some greeting cards to go alongside the book using the characters.”
These latest developments continue a purple patch for Jill as her Graphic Form collection won the Best Male Range award in The Henries 2022, while she also won a Gift Of The Year award this year with her London Calling Global Collection scooping the trophy in the Best International Product Or Range category.
