IC&G launches new value brand

12 months of testing delivers Just To Say for Spring Fair unveiling

 

International Cards & Gifts is launching into the value sector with designated new brand Just To Say debuting at Spring Fair – and there’s a sample box for retailers to try before they buy.

Just To Say is the latest from the Cardgains supplier member, with sales director Allen Taylor explaining: “After 12 months of testing, we’re proud to officially launch our collection of 208 designs, covering general birthday, friend, juvenile, adult age, relations, and occasions – all created and manufactured in the UK.

“We focused on identifying the target retail market, from traditional newsagents to convenience stores, sub-post offices and, of course, specialist stores. With High Streets in many locations across the UK and Ireland becoming increasingly price-sensitive, many consumers are simply looking for a basic card to send for under £2 RRP.

“While we pride ourselves on quality, offering 100% UK-created and manufactured cards using high-quality 300gsm board, inserts, and premium finishes such as embossing and foil, our independent retail partners requested a lower price point without too much compromise.”

Able to sit alongside IC&G’s flagship collection of over 2,000 designs, the new brand has three price points, £1.19, £1.59, and £1.79, and fills an 8ft 13-tier card display with POS available, and there’s the option of biodegradable cellowrap at an extra cost for retailers where naked cards aren’t suitable.

A physical catalogue is also on offer, and Allen added: “For retailers accustomed to visiting their local wholesalers, we provide free delivery on orders over £100, with 30 days to pay subject to a basic credit check, and a sample box is available if you’d like to try before you buy.

“Additionally, we offer a sale or exchange option. If a design isn’t selling, we can credit and replace it with a new one. We even have 26 Christmas designs available at the same price points.”

Just To Say is being launched through the IC&G pod on Cardgains Village, stand 3M10-N11, at the show, which opens on Sunday and runs through to Wednesday, 2-5 February, at Birmingham’s NEC. Cardgains members benefit from the buying group’s off-invoice discount.
