Due to the ongoing impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 Home & Gift Harrogate exhibition will not take place this year.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the postponement of Home & Gift for the first time in its 60-year history,” commented show director Kelly Grant. “Our absolute priority is to safeguard the health and welfare of all those and this postponement is a necessity, given both the material and ongoing disruption caused by the current pandemic and the latest public health and government directions.”
Kelly says that next year’s show, which will take place 18-21 July 2021 will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Home & Gift and will be a special opportunity for the community to come together in better times. The show will combine all the features that had been planned for this year, including a 60th anniversary party, plus the 2021 edition’s enhanced ShopTalk speaker programme and new sectors.
Despite the show not happening this year, Home & Gift is to continue to provide the giftware community with virtual product launches, regular blog updates, to include inspiring brand stories, and expert advice.
While it will not be housing Home & Gift this year, The Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC), is being put to good use as it is being turned into a dedicated Nightingale Hospital to treat coronavirus patients.
