With over 1,000 brands exhibiting, there are plenty of new products to discover at Harrogate Home & Gift over 16 – 19 July.
With independent retailers in mind, a strong line-up of speakers will be taking to the stage at the Harrogate Convention Centre’s Great Northern Retail Forum at Home & Gift, Harrogate, which takes place from July 16-19. Topics covered will include: top 10 trends for this Christmas, building your presence on social media, the growing Made in Britain movement and many more.
Over 1,000 products will be showcased at this year’s exhibition which covers four main sectors: Design-led Gifts; Jewellery & Fashion; Home Interiors and Greetings & Stationery, the latter being largely located in its own dedicated marquee again this year.
“The Greetings and Stationery sector within Home and Gift is going from strength to strength, this year we have an amazing array of greeting cards in our dedicated Greetings & Stationery Gallery,” says show director Cleere Scamell. “We have seen growth in this area in the last couple of years and H&G is attracting more exhibitors and buyers in this area.”
Among those publishers exhibiting include Belly Button Designs, Berni Parker Designs, Holy Mackerel, Really Good/Soul, Blue Eyed Sun and Janie Wilson.
Spotted on Corrie
Really Good and Soul are celebrating a big year (it’s the two companies’ collective 50th anniversary). And on top of this, one of its products – a Ready for My Selfie compact mirror from the Bright Side range – ‘starred’ recently on Coronation Street!
Visitors to Really Good’s stand (DP1-16) at Home & Gift will be able to see the new Bright Side baby shower range as well as new products in the Deckchair giftware range. And, look out for the new Really Good and Soul catalogue in the post prior to Harrogate – the catalogue includes a £30 off voucher for Really Good customers and a £20 off voucher for Soul customers to spend either at Harrogate, Autumn Fair or with sales representatives before the end of September.
New launches for Caroline Gardner
Caroline Gardner (stand DP1-113) is launching 74 brand new cards for AW17 at Harrogate, including six brand new ranges. “It’s one of our largest card launches yet,” says Luca Bridges, senior sales and marketing coordinator. “We are particularly excited for this one as we have lots of new finishes. There are two ranges in particular we think will be big: Palm Springs and Pom.”
Palm Springs range draws inspiration from LA and Palm Springs; with a soft pastel colour palette of blues and pinks and some bold typography. Pom embraces the trend for honeycomb paper decorations. Each card has a honeycomb pom-pom integrated into the design, which the buyer folds over and sticks to the card, once taken from its envelope.
