GCA Greetings Launchpad area at Top Drawer

Hot on the heels of the GCA’s “hugely successful retailer engagement at PG Live,” Sharon Little, ceo of the trade association is also upping the activities at other shows.

It has been confirmed that GCA publisher members will once again receive almost a 10% discount on next year’s PG Live.

A new development between the GCA and Top Drawer is that there will be a new area at September’s Top Drawer, entitled Greetings Launchpad with the GCA. This will be a new area in the Greetings & Stationery section of Top Drawer, specifically designed as an introduction for GCA members who have never participated in the autumn/winter edition of Top Drawer (9 – 11 September).

The Greetings Launchpad stands will be arranged around a central pillar promoting Thinking of You Week with member exhibitors’ cards and a seating area.

This offer is only open to GCA member publishers and anyone interested should contact David Westbrooke, senior sales manager, 020 7384 7863, david.westbrooke@clarionevents.com.

Meanwhile, even sooner, this year’s Harrogate Home & Gift (15 -18 July) will include a giant Thinking of You Week sign directing people to the Greetings Gallery at the show. There will also be a special Thinking of You Week card feature in the buyers’ lounge at the show.

Sharon Little, ceo of the GCA explains how members can get involved in this installation: “We’ve emailed members and asked them to send up to five cards which they think best embody the spirit of Thinking of You Week (non-seasonal and non-birthday cards), labelled with their company name and stand number at the show. This is a great opportunity to have more buyers seeing their cards up close. Huge thanks go to Clarion Events, the show organisers, for putting this in place for us!”

And finally, there’s just a few places left in the Autumn Fair Debut area (2 – 5 September, NEC Birmingham). Debut is a special scheme offering a significant cost saving to help GCA small publisher members try out Autumn Fair for the first time. The Debut ‘village’ will comprise 16 stands in Hall 4, situated next to the Season’s Club Lounge for VIP and International buyers. Anyone interested should contact Ciro Dunlop: 020 3033 2005, ciro.dunlop@ascential.com.
