UK Greetings is continuing its generous ‘giveaway spree’ for retailers, offering buyers the chance to win a spa treat, yoga retreat or wellness escape as part of the launch activity for its new Kindred brand that will be officially launched at PG Live tomorrow (Tuesday 5 June).
Ceri Stirland, customer and channel director of UKG (and current president of the GCA) revealed to PG last Autumn that the publisher had lots of “tailored promotions in the pipeline” for retailers and their respective consumer customers. She underlined how “independent retailers are massively important” to the publisher, being the largest customers of its branded ranges.
In keeping with the spirit of the brand new standalone Kindred brand, the greeting card publisher is offering retailers going onto its stand at PG Live (which will be totally dedicated to the 200+ design strong Kindred collection) the chance to win a Spafinder Wellness 365 voucher.
The lucky winner will be able to choose from whether to use the voucher for some quality ‘me time’ or to share the spa/wellness treat with a ‘Kindred’ spirit.
While the ‘value’ of the Kindred prize will be measured in ‘wellbeing worth’ rather than financial remuneration, UKG’s ongoing Golden Ticket initiative is rewarding retailers with a £500 credit! It was Sentiments From The Heart in Burnham on Sea who was the lucky recipient of first UKG Golden Ticket, with all retailers who had ordered from UKG in April being in with a chance of winning.
There is another Golden Ticket expected to be announced any day now, based on orders placed during the month of May.
And this follows hot on the heels of UKG playing the ‘superhero’ by giving away 400 of cinema tickets to Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War film, offering two free tickets with the first 200 orders of the Marvel Avengers: Infinity War shipper. Retailers had the option of using the tickets for their personal entertainment, or using for promotional purposes with their customers.
“Independent retailers are massively important to us,” assured Ceri Stirland.
