Emotional Rescue To Be Distributed To Indies By The Nigel Quiney/Paper Rose Sales Team

From December 1, Emotional Rescue cards are to be distributed to indies by the newly combined Nigel Quiney/Paper Rose independent sales team. For the last three years, Emo’s products have been distributed by Carte Blanche Greetings into the independent channel.

Explaining the new arrangement with Paper Design Group (which encompasses Nigel Quiney Publications, Paper Rose, Simon Elvin, Glick, Grassroots and Polytint), Brett Smith, joint managing director of Emotional Rescue told PG Buzz: “Both myself and David Greaves, joint md of Emotional Rescue have known Ian Jackson, owner of Paper Design Group for 20 years and have always had a plan that we would work closely together. And now’s the time.”

However, Brett assured that the split with Carte Blanche Greetings is very “amicable” with all three companies working together to ensure a smooth handover.  “We are very thankful to Carte Blanche for their support over the last three years. I have the utmost respect for Alister Marchant, ceo of CBG and the honorable way he is managing this, including furnishing his sales team with the names of their counterparts at Nigel Quiney/Paper Rose for their retail customers in order that continuity is assured during the transitional period,” said Brett.

In a response which shows there are no hard feelings, Alister added: “We have been incredibly proud to carry Emotional Rescue products over the last few years having increased distribution and growing sales over this time while enhancing the customer experience. We wish the team at Emotional Rescue and Nigel Quiney/Paper Rose all the very best for the future.”

The addition of 220+ designs, selected from several of Emotional Rescue’s ranges (On The Ceiling, Virtual Safari, Face Ache, among others) will significantly broaden the product portfolio carried by the Nigel Quiney/Paper Rose independent sales team.

As Alison Butterworth, managing director of Nigel Quiney Publications highlighted: “We are delighted to be able to offer Emotional Rescue designs to our independent customers, giving them access to the strongest brand in the humorous card sector. Creating humorous cards is a specialism and the Emotional Rescue team are masters at it. Their ranges perfectly compliment Nigel Quiney’s strength on the traditional front and Paper Rose’s contemporary prowess, meaning that collectively we can offer a potent mix to independent customers, whether they choose to line buy or use or planning service.”
