Card publisher Lizzie Parker, owner of Penguin Ink – and a finalist in The Henries 2018 in The Lynn Tait Most Promising Young Designer Award category – is joining the growing movement of publishers taking a stand on environmental issues.
“More and more customers – from independents through to Paperchase and National Trust – are asking us as publishers how green our products are both at shows and in follow ups,” says Lizzie. “As publishers we are trying to strike a balance between cost and sustainability while looking at all the facts.”
With this in mind Lizzie is now in the process of switching all her products over to 100% recycled stocks.
“I’ve switched to 100% recycled envelopes, launching the new ones at Autumn Fair and I’m also looking at changing my paper from part-recycled to 100% recycled and changing my cellos from 100% recyclable to compostable ones from Eco Kraft,” says Lizzie.
Penguin Ink will be exhibiting at Autumn Fair (September 2-5, NEC) in Hall 4 on Stand D71.
