Publisher plans special treat for fans at first convention appearance
Danilo has a date with limited edition calendars as the publisher is set to mark its first appearance at London’s Comic Con event by giving fans something special.
With the event kicking off at London’s ExCel over 28-30 October, Danilo will be retailing its new officially-licensed calendar and diary titles featuring hot properties such as Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter, DC Comics, and Star Trek, as well as a host of anime titles including Naruto Shippuden and My Hero Academia.
And exclusive new limited edition 2023 calendars – just 100 of each title – will be released at the show for fans of Hatsune Miku and Stranger Things which include stunning illustrative artwork, as well as a certificate of authenticity.
“We’re really excited to be part of the London Comic Con,” commented Danilo’s licensing director Dan Grant. “Being present at conventions such as these is a great step forward in Danilo further connecting with fans of these hugely popular brands. It gives us a great opportunity to get direct feedback from the fans, so we can continue to evolve our product ranges to meet their expectations.”
Founded in 2001 by Paul Miley and Bryan Cooney, MCM Comic Con is the UK’s largest organiser of pop culture events, drawing in tens of thousands of comic collectors, gamers, superhero supporters, film and anime fans from all over the country.
With events held in Scotland, London, Manchester and Birmingham, these conventions provide enthusiasts the chance to meet star guests, see behind-the-scenes exclusives and previews, experience live art-working from specialist artists and purchase official merchandise from vendors.
At the upcoming event, the star guests include Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann and Peter Davidson from Doctor Who, and Anthony Daniels from Star Wars.
On its stand in the North Hall Danilo will also be hosting a competition at the event for fans to win an amazing Comic Con prize bundle worth over £100 including gifts of all their favourite Comic Con brands such as Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter, Friends, DC Comics and many more.
