Danilo supports Mental Health Awareness Week via greeting cards

“One in four people in the UK will suffer mental illness over the course of their life,” explains Charlotte Reed, the creator behind the May the Thoughts Be With You uplifting and soulful brand, which Danilo is publishing on cards and calendars.

While Charlotte is planning to be at PG Live where the range will officially launch in all its glory on the Danilo stand, in the interim she is rather busy with her official duties as ambassador for this week’s Mental Health Awareness Week as part of her ongoing commitment to help raise awareness on mental health issues and help reduce the stigma associated with them.

As part of this, together with her licensing agent, Larkshead Media is running a series of Charlotte’s soulful illustrations on PG Buzz throughjout the month of May.

With a second book deal in the offing, in addition to the weekly May the Thoughts Be With You cartoons that appear in London’s Evening Standard, the newspaper is to run an article on Charlotte’s original book which is based on the daily drawings and thoughts that she created as part of her own therapy to help overcome depression.

Charlotte’s view of mental health issues is that “The more we talk about things like this the better! I’m keen to spread the word as much as possible which is why I give talks all year round on my own experience of mental ill health. Sharing recovery stories such as mine also gives other sufferers hope that they too can recover.”
