Stationery Matters awards nominees have been revealed
Danilo, IG Design Group, Austin & Co, and Creative Cove have been named among the finalists in this year’s Stationery Matters Awards.
And they’ll be finding out who’s won in the Licensed Stationery Product Of The Year and Independent Retailer Of The Year categories, along with finalists in the other 11 sectors at the end of the opening day of this year’s London Stationery Show, which runs over the Tuesday and Wednesday of National Stationery Week, 15-21 May.
The awards cover products ranging from stationery staples, through giftwrap, to gifting essentials with the indie retailer being a new category for this year, where Malvern’s Austin & Co is up against Creative Cove, Lampeter; Castlegate Stationery Art Books & Toys, Wetherby; Jespers Of Harrogate, and Lead Tin, Battersea, London.
“The shop is 12 years old this coming Friday,” Austin & Co owner Sean Austin said, “and this nomination is an early birthday present. Out of the many entrants in this category up and down the country, we feel humbled to have been recognised in this way.
“We love what we do in the way that we do it – who’d ever thought selling notebooks and dog leads in the same space would work! And this quirky approach to stationery retailing that we started in 2011 has become the norm in Malvern.”
Sandra Jervis, owner of Creative Cove, added: “I’m so excited! It’s just so lovely to be recognised as doing something a bit special here in Lampeter and knowing I have such supportive customers behind me makes it all worth it.”
