Coulson Macleod’s starter bundles give customers more choice

Wise way to help retailers with one card of each design to offer full selection

Wise Words is Coulson Macleod’s most famous greeting card range, and now the publisher has come up with a wise way of allowing retailers to offer the widest selection of its products for the least amount of cost.

“We are disrupting the historic order processes with our sample pack and bundles, which means retailers only need to take one of each design,” Hannah Coulson, co-owner of the card and gift business, told PG Buzz.

Launching officially at Harrogate Home & Gift this week, the new bundles are available on most of its ranges, including as its Wise Words collection of 155 cards or 140 prints, which gives shops one of each design along with pos to allow customers to peruse at their leisure – and 15-card refill packs allow convenient top-ups when required.

“It’s perfect to get people started,” Hannah said. “Shops can give their customers lots of variety to choose from – even the more niche hobbies like climbing and poetry – without needing to buy each design in higher quantities.”

Coulson Macleod has already allowed customers to order in threes instead of the traditional six of each card design, and the Wise Words greeting card bundle of the entire range saves over £33 on the normal trade cost of the £2.75rrp designs and two white display boxes, with a £100 saving on the £10rrp prints bundle, that comes with two wooden display units.

There’s also a three interest-free payment option as well as the 15 individual designs refill pack for either cards or prints available to any customer who has previously ordered a starter bundle.

Hannah added: “If you can’t decide which Wise Words designs to stock, this way you can have them all – customers will love leaving through to see what they can find, like vinyls in a record store.”
