Colour your summer

Pentel’s six-week campaign hits social media with creativity and fun

With schools out for the long holidays it’s always useful to have activities lined up for when the weather’s not so good or the kids and adults just need some quiet time – and Pentel has come up with #ColourMySummer.

The six-week campaign is underway and features an array of creative content over its Instagram and Facebook social media accounts, collaborating closely with influencers who each showcase a spectacular array of products and colour through unique projects that reflect their individual talents – below is a reel by Blink Lettering showing how to draw roses.

“Our aim throughout this campaign is to motivate and inspire our followers through engaging content,” marketing manager Wendy Vickery said, “teaching them how to use our products and showing the amazing results they can achieve.

“This summer we’re encouraging everyone to learn and experiment with colour by sharing ideas, passions, and hobbies while discovering new Pentel products. As the summer progresses, our commitment to actively support our trade customers continues with strong promotions and marketing campaigns to generate consumer demand.”

Pentel will host two competitions across social media channels, offering people the chance to win all the products demonstrated by the influencers over the course of the campaign, and to encourage followers to engage with the brand, mini giveaways will give followers the chance to win some of their favourite items.

Supporting the influencer activity, the #ColourMySummer campaign will see a range of social media activities – below is a reel from the current #MonthOfManga event – including influencer reviews, live streaming, reels, stories, mini giveaways and two main competitions offering people the chance to win all the products demonstrated.

Wendy said the campaign will highlight the extensive variety of vibrant colours available within Pentel’s EnerGel and Brush Pen range, focusing on the six newly-launched fluorescent shades. The range of Mattehop Pens will also heavily feature demonstrating their matte, plastic-like finish across various types of paper such as coloured, coated and photographic, making them ideal for summer crafts, scrapbooking and journals.

The #ColourMySummer campaign will also feature the soft pastel shades of Milky Brush combined with the sparkling DualMetallic Brush Pens to give the campaign an extra burst of colour.
