Cath Tate takes on Type And Story distribution

Established publisher now looking after Niccy Iseman’s soulful designs

Cath Tate Cards is just completing the transfer of stock from publisher Type And Story, having taken over the distribution of the soulful designs by Niccy Iseman, who is having a change of career direction.

“We were so excited when the opportunity to work with the brand came up,” Cath Tate director Rosie Tate told PG Buzz. “We’ve been admirers of Niccy’s beautiful design style and strong brand image for a long time, and we’re delighted that she’s trusted us with the brand she’s created with so much love and care.”

While offering a range of designs and style, Cath Tate is particularly known for its humour cards, and Rosie added: “The style of the collection is something we haven’t ever offered in any of our other ranges, which makes it a very exciting new prospect for us and our customers!”

The Type And Story website already directs customers to buy from the Cath Tate website, and the stock transfer is just about complete.

Cath Tate will be launching 63 foiled designs at Top Drawer S/S25, which runs at Kensington Olympia in London over 12-14 January, from birthday bestsellers, ages 16-70 and popular occasion cards featuring intricate die-cut details.

Rosie added: “These special finishes along with Niccy’s beautiful illustration style make this collection a little piece of magic, and we’re thrilled to have them.”

Explaining the reasons behind the move Niccy, who will be working in collaboration with Cath Tate Cards going forward and have her designs continue to be distributed to existing stockists as well as new ones, said: “I’ve gone through some personal changes, and I have re-evaluated what I want to focus on. I’m taking some of the transpersonal themes I have developed within my greeting card designs into the world of psychotherapy instead.

“I have loved what I have done because I believe that my designs have injected a new sensibility into the greetings card industry which wasn’t quite there before – with that I’ve also had a hoot at trade shows, grown in my process and met some rather great pals!”
