Carte Blanche has teamed up with educational resource company Pobble to bring My Dinky Bear into classrooms as part of a programme inspiring young children to get writing.
Twelve of Pobble’s ambassador schools have been the sent Dinky Bear mascots. Pupils are encouraged to take Dinky home and then write all about the adventures they go on together. The resulting stories are then top be posted and shared on Pobble’s online teaching resource site – which receives 150,000 user visits per month – where the child’s work can be celebrated and shared as an inspiration to others. Other schools can download the My Dinky Bear journal resource from the website too.
“The My Dinky Bear brand values of imagination and adventure make it a natural fit for this educational resource all about inspiring the younger generation to write and get into storytelling,” says Fiona Yeoh, head of creative for Carte Blanche Group. “As a non-media brand, My Dinky Bear is also a wholesome, safe option for schools and parents.”
Reinforcing its commitment to education, Carte Blanche/My Dinky Bear is sponsoring the Petit Pobbler Award in the 2018 Pobble Awards. The Pobble Awards celebrate the best in children’s writing from across the Pobble network. Teachers are able to nominate children’s work for awards spanning 20 categories.
Carte Blanche is making a big push with its new brand, with My Dinky Bear featuring regularly in several top girls’ magazine publications. Also look out for an exciting competition for independent retailers that will be announced in the next few weeks!
