Design-led publisher, Caroline Gardner will kick off its 25th birthday celebrations at Top Drawer on Sunday 9 September with drinks and birthday cards on its stand.
The company will also launch a 25th birthday card range called twenty five, which is a modern take on its classic NT range. The NT’s were the first range ever printed, following Caroline’s original handmade wire cards, with the silver die stamp reflecting the wire finish.
To help celebrate its 25th birthday, and in continued support of Meningitis Now, Caroline Gardner has launched a great competition for budding artists and young designers in the making. It would like children up to 16 years old to design a birthday card that will be printed and sold across the country, with all profits going to Meningitis Now, a fantastic cause that Caroline Gardner supports every year with its charity Christmas cards. The design can be drawn, painted or collaged, with images and illustrations or just fun text. There will be 2000 copies of the winning card printed. Caroline will judge the entries with the winner announced on 14 September.
Meningitis Now is a cause very close to Caroline Gardner’s heart. Founders Caroline and Angus Gardner chose the charity 15 years ago, having had a personal experience with the illness when their then six-month-old son, Sebastian contracted Meningococcal Septicaemia. Thankfully he recovered and the family looked to help raise awareness through fund raising on behalf of Meningitis Now.
During that time Caroline Gardner has also raised over £100,000 for the charity through the sale of Caroline Gardner Christmas cards.
