Lesser & Pavey signs up Paper Shed and Robert James Hull as show doggy discoveries
PG Live went to the dogs in a good way as two more licensing deals have come out of this year’s show and a third is being worked on.
Major gift and homewares company Lesser & Pavey has now signed up both Paper Shed Design and Robert James Hull for giftware ranges after discovering the two publishers and their doggy designs at the annual specialist greeting card trade show in June.
“Lots of our customers have told us how popular Paper Shed’s cards are and recommended we looked into licensing their designs for giftware,” Lesser & Pavey director Jonny Greves told PG Buzz.
“With Robert James Hull, we saw his Dogs at PG Live and thought they were a really nice fun way to represent the different breeds and his artwork really captures the characters of dogs – both of those can go down as PG Live finds, and hopefully the other one too, we’re still in discussion with them.”
At Paper Shed, owners and designers Dan and Jo O’Brien are “delighted” to be working with the established gift and homewares company using a selection of their bestselling designs from a number of ranges.
“It includes a mix of designs from our brand-new Buttercup Farm range as well as established bestselling designs from Bucklebury Wood, Pawsitively Purrrfect and our very popular range Absolutely Barking – which is a Henries awards 2024 finalist, which we’re beyond thrilled about!
“Lesser & Pavey has been an absolute pleasure to work with. When they popped by to see me at this year’s PG Live they instantly loved the cards and discussed all the product possibilities with such enthusiasm.
“Since then we’ve been in contact with their friendly studio team to develop a selection of quality products starting with mugs, coasters, lap trays and stationery.
“Dan and I feel that Lesser & Pavey are a really good fit for us, with quality and attention to detail being the priority. We’re very excited by this new relationship and look forward offering some cute quality giftware.”
Rob is looking forward to confirming exactly what products will be using the designs from his eponymous business, and said: “I’m currently waiting on samples – but it’s exciting!”
