Finding the appropriate Valentine’s Day card which perfectly sums up the relationship you have with your loved one can be tricky, but Eamonn Holmes’ wife Ruth Langsford got it so spot on with the Jeffrey & Janice design from Bold & Bright she gave her hubby that they not only were proud to share it with their extensive fanbase on Instagram, but the celebrity couple (standing in for Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby) also featured it on ITV This Morning’s programme earlier this week.
The design in question features the ‘romantic’ words: ‘She loved him, but when she heard him chew, she fantasised about his death’ making reference to Ruth’s sensitivity to the noises her beloved husband makes.
Having picked up on the popularity of the Instagram posts about the card, Thea Musselwhite, founder of Bold & Bright got in touch with the Holmes and asked if they would like some cards as a thank you for featuring the design. “Eamonn replied saying that would be lovely, so I sent them a bundle,” Thea told PG Buzz.
The card actually sparked a feature on the TV programme about Misophonia, the fear of sounds when people eat – as Ruth was saying that’s what she thinks she has. “The card was a good lead into the discussion topic for the phone in! They had a lot of people comment on the original post to say they also had this fear. I think lockdown has increased this in people, being trapped with partners and families 24/7!” says Thea.
The Jeffrey and Janice card was shown twice by Eamonn within half an hour, but the greeting card ‘stars’ are no stranger to TV appearances, with this specific design having also featured in the TV ad for Valentine’s Day. “It’s feeling like a super famous card right now :)” says Thea.
