Giftwrappings company Deva Designs thought up a “blooming marvelous” way of continuing the celebrations of the company’s 25th anniversary year.
The Deva team, headed up by co-owners Andrew Maddocks and Ann Rogers, travelled to Shropshire to witness the harvest of the stunning delphiniums that are used to make the company’s natural petal confetti.
“I have lost count of the number of packs of the petal confetti we have sold over the years as it’s now in the tens of thousands,” said Andrew. “However, it was a great excuse for a team day out to watch the delphiniums being hand picked. It was a great day, the sun shone and we all loved every minute of it!”
The Chester-based company kicked off its ‘Silver anniversary’ celebrations last month with a team trip to Portmerion, the idyllic town in Wales.
Looking forward to Deva’s next chapter in its evolution, Andrew, who has been involved with the company for the last 15 years, says: “We just want to keep producing lovely ranges that our customers expect from us. I am really proud of ‘team Deva’ and they are very loyal to Ann and I.”
He went on to pay to tribute to another important group of people in the company’s history. “Our agents are equally precious to us and some have been with Deva for 25 years (since the beginning), which I think is an incredible achievement – and just shows our respect for each other.”
Andrew was also “delighted” to receive the news last week that Deva Designs had reached the finals in The Henries 2017 in the Best Giftwrappings Range category with its Designers Guild Chinoiserie Flowers And Plum Blossom collection.
