Eco credentials grow as publisher helps build a better world
Wrendale Designs is building on its eco credentials as the greeting, stationery and gift company that’s rewilding 340 acres of Lincolnshire farmland has just been crowned as a B Corporation.
In becoming a member of the B Corp movement, the business run by Hannah and Jack Dale joins 1,500 British companies and more than 6,000 worldwide as part of the group of community-driven businesses from all sectors, united by the shared goal of achieving an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
The globally-recognised certification – Wrendale’s details can be found here – confirms a business meets and maintains high standards of social and environmental impact, and is actively engaged in the building of a better world.
“This is a huge milestone for our company and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to ensuring that our business positively impacts our customers, our community, our colleagues and the planet,” Hannah said.
“We are incredibly proud to join a growing community of companies that are passionate about using their businesses as a force for good.”
The B Corp certification is the latest honour for Wrendale, which earned a King’s Award For Enterprise, the UK’s most prestigious business awards, in May, and has been commended for its efforts to help wildlife by reintroducing beavers to Jack’s family farm on a 70-acre enclosure as well as planting thousands of trees, allowing native seeds to regenerate which helps the bird population regroup and diversify, and giving over another five acres into a series of ponds to create a haven for amphibians and insects.
