Two tickets to Royal Academy exhibition on offer as ArtPress celebrates extended collection
The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition is one of the highlights of the season and ArtPress has two special tickets up for grabs to celebrate its extended RA collection.
Featuring eight designs selected from the walls of the prestigious annual show, the publisher has just two weeks from picking the artwork to getting the cards on the shelves of the RA’s shop for the event that this year runs through to 20 August.
“Within this time, artist’s permission must be gained, colour proofs are finalised by comparing the proof to the original artwork on the wall and, after final approval from the artist, the cards are then printed post haste!” ArtPress director Linzi Russell-Watson told PG Buzz.
“It really is an eclectic mix of art and our product is quite prominent in the main Gallery shop and the gift shop at the opposite entrance – getting the cards out always coincides with PG Live but it was a little bit later this year so we were unable to launch them at the show.”
Linzi has two special tickets with a voucher for the café at the RA in Burlington House in London’s Piccadilly, and there are no entry requirements as a winner will be picked at random from all ArtPress customers who place an order containing a Royal Academy product before the closing date of 14 July, 2023.
In addition, there’s an ArtPress spinner offer running where one fully loaded with the customer’s choice of designs – filling 48 pockets with 12 cards per design per pocket – is available for the price of 40 designs, saving over £300 at retail prices. To order contact ArtPress and quote code SPIN23.
As the world’s oldest open submission event, where anyone can enter their work to be considered for inclusion, the Summer Exhibition has run without interruption since 1769 and, this year, renowned British painter and RA member David Remfry has taken the reins as exhibition coordinator.
This year’s show explores the theme Only Connect, taken from the quote in EM Forster’s Howards End, and the 1,614 works include a witty painting by comedian and TV presenter Joe Lycett, known for his championing of artists and craftspeople.
