Artists And Designers Make Waves With Jehane’s Charity Initiative

Artists whose designs grace many greeting card ranges are also using their talents as part of an inspiring charity initiative being driven by Jehane Boden-Spiers, the owner of art licensing business, Jehane.

Jehane is well underway on plans to publish volume two of a charity Caring Colouring book – and has opened up an invitation to all artists across the world to submit designs to be included.

All profits from the colouring book will be donated to the Sea Change Project (www.seachangeproject.com) to raise vital funds to help protect our oceans. And in keeping with the cause, all colouring-in designs will be on an ocean dreams theme, filled with fish and underwater plant scenes.

Among the artists (represented by Jehane) who have already submitted designs that will feature include Helen Ahpornsiri, Caroline Bonne Muller, Ali Brooks, Tracey English, Snowdon Flood, Kate Heiss, Maja Lindberg, Jade Mosinki, Natalie Pedetti Prack, Meghan Rader, Katherine Quinn and Katherine Rowe.

However, with lots of great submissions already in, Jehane is looking to include designs from another 30 artists. The deadline is next Monday (March 22). Full details (and a mood board) can be accessed here… https://jehane.lpages.co/caring-colouring-special-invitation/

Jehane’s plans for Caring Colouring Volume 2 comes a year after her first edition, which raised funds for those in care homes. https://www.pgbuzz.net/artist-agent-jehane-turns-card-designs-into-age-uk-colouring-book/

“If the last 12 months has taught me anything it’s that keeping connected and inspired through creativity is hugely impactful,” said Jehane. “Caring Colouring – Volume 2 is a book to celebrate life, our connections to each other and the beauty of our oceans.”

The theme of the colouring book was prompted by Katherine Quinn, a New Zealand-based artist that Jehane represents, recommending that she watches ‘My Octopus Teacher – A story from The Great African Seaforest’. This remarkable film documents the unique friendship that develops between naturalist Craig Foster and an octopus living in a South African kelp forest.

“I was so inspired watching it and by Katherine’s beautiful illustrations of the underwater kelp forests. Not only has this stirred my imagination for the theme of Caring Colouring 2, but it inspired us to donate all profits from sales and downloads to support the Sea Change Project and ensure the protection of the kelp forests,” added Jehane.

Due to be published in April, as well as selling the book from the Jehane website, in partnership with Arts Organisation Fabrica and Chomp, a limited number of books will be distributed to young children who need extra support and who might be inspired by the oceans to support the environment. Each family will receive two books and a pack of felt-tip pens.
